I've always been in Cary, NC. I was 4 when I started playing soccer. As a kid, I was very energetic and participated in a variety of different sports such as gymnastics and swimming. I started in FC Cary, a recreational program, and immediately fell in love with the game of soccer. I fully committed to it, while continuing to swim during Summer. I joined CAYA (which eventually became NCFC), the classic league, soon after. I was always small for my age growing up and I think that's pushed me to be the player I am. I always had to play bigger than I was, and work on my technical skills. I joined the Next Level Academy (NLA) program to help with technical skills, and felt like I found my calling. My ability to position my body with the ball, make precision passes, and shoot with both feet, I knew I wanted to play midfield. I joined the NCFC pre-ECNL program soon after and loved the increased competition.
During COVID, I not only played on ECNL, but during my free time, I played pickup with a group of players where most of them are now being called up to the National Team. I feel like I grew a lot in my confidence during that year. I could make a difference on the field and compete with some of the best. I was also passionate about anything active. I competed in youth triathlons, ran track, and did cross-training workouts. I even posted some online that people followed through the pandemic. That's taken me to where I am today. I play with tenacity, drive, and positivity striving to be the best and most athletic on the field, whether it be practice, games, showcases, high school, or club. I can't wait to bring that same energy to the college game and prove that I can be a difference maker.
